Opalescent three-sided faceted triangle.
Some of the glass made is fused one way up then, when finished, turned a different way up, so what was the bottom become the top or the side.
Most of these triangular shaped pieces are made in a simple mould with the glass vertical, but slightly sloping and the piece laid horizontal.
Some of them are made from different sized pieces of glass, which give more parallel layers, or as in this one, all the glass is the same size (75 x 75mm) so pooling out to give undulating layers. This is then fused until fairly flat; the largest face is then at the top.
After fusing, the flat areas are ground and polished with the edges sometimes smooth or left fairly rough.
